Cheat Mode
Press ~ during game play to display the console window. Type one of the following case-sensitive codes to activate the corresponding cheat function. Note: Family member names, settlement names, and other proper names must be capitalized correctly.Effect - Code
Give city more population - add_population
Get indicated amount of gold - add_money [number]
Give any trait your faction can have to a specific general - give_trait
Anything in city's building queue built automatically - process_cq
Get indicated amount of gold - add_money
Toggles fog of war - toggle_fow
Press Auto Retaliate button to automatically wins; enter code at the battle scroll - auto_win
Give ancillary to specific general - give_ancillary [character] [ancillary] [level number]

Elephant Artillery to selected city or unit - rogan
Elephant Rocketeer to selected city or unit - vindaloo

Mercenary Monster Bombard to selected city or unit - istanbul
Mercenary Monster Ribault to selected city or unit - george
Mercenary Rocket Launcher to selected city or unit - houston
Reset stuck character - character_reset

Unlock All Factions
Find your way to the Medieval II Total War\data\world\maps\campaign\imperial_campaign directory and youll see a file called descr_strat. Cut and Paste the unlockable section into the playable section. Now just save and close and youll have all your factions unlocked.Create a Unit
Use the console to enter the followingcreate_unit "settlement or character" "unit ID" "amount (1-5)" "experience (1-9)" "armor (1-3)" "weapon (1-3)"
Example:
creat_unit "London" Longbowmen 2 9 3 3
The above code will create 2 units of Longbowmen in London with 3 Gold Chevrons, Level 3 armor and Level 3 weapon.

Just pick a city or any unit as if moving it and just open console and simple type george or any of those on this list and hit enter to get the following unitsCode - Effect

Faster Game Play in campaign
When your in campaign mode and you move a unit to a selected spot. The unit moves there but walks there and moves very slowly. To speed thjis up just hold down the right click on the mouse and this will speed up how fast the unit gets to where you want it to go. Also this works when your turn is up and the other country's are taking there turn.Detailed codes for several Console Commands
Push ~ to access the console. As described above, the "give_trait" command works with several different traits to add to a specific character. In order for this to work, you must have the character selected and outside of a town. It works like:give_trait this TRAITNAME #
Below is a list of TRAITNAMES and the maximum number you can put after to determine the level of the trait. These are a list of the most beneficial traits, message me if you want me to post the more obscure ones.

All Factions
Open the [game folder]\Data\world\maps\campaign\imperial_campaign\ descr_strat.txt file with Notepad. You will see a list of the nations you can use in the beginning, the unlockable ones and the non-playables. Cut and paste the unlockable factions to the playable nations. Save the file. Now go back to the game and complete a campaign mode and all of the factions will be unlocked. Do not copy the end non-playables.Note: first make a backup before you start.
