EA updates its delay forecast for the Xbox 360 beta of Medal of Honor, new launch date appears hazy...
While the multiplayer beta for Medal of Honor launched for PS3 and PC on June 21st, the Xbox 360 version has since been mired in delays. EA initially indicated that it would launch before June 27th, although this date has obviously come and gone. Now, in a blog post on the game's website, EA has acknowledged further delays but failed to nail down a revised launch date for the Xbox 360 beta.
"As for the Xbox 360 version of the beta, we are delayed and we apologize. To the Xbox 360 community, we say thank you for your continued patience. We are working to fix the issues that have caused this delay and, like you, we're eager to get the game up and running at quality. As soon as we do, you'll be the first to know," the blog post reads.
Nonetheless, we've been putting the PS3 version of the beta through its paces since it launched and our initial impressions on DICE's multiplayer component for the game will be posted on TVG tomorrow.
Update: EA has now confirmed that the Xbox 360 beta will be extended to account for these delays when it eventually launches, so that Xbox 360 users will "have ample time to play and provide feedback for the final product". There's still no revised launch date for the delayed beta though. More as we get it...
