Details from a LinkedIn profile indicate that EA's Medal of Honor series could be flashing forwards to modern times...

It's not the first time we've heard it suggested, but if a LinkedIn profile is anything to go by then EA's Medal of Honor series could be headed to modern times in its next instalment.

Micah Lapping-Carr, who is currently working as a Software Development Engineer at Microsoft, also worked as an intern at EA during the summer of last year (according to his LinkedIn profile). Here's what he had to say about the experience:

"Worked on a Medal of Honor modern combat title in various roles, including design and software engineering."

At around the same time last year, French site JeuxVideo was alleging that the next Modern Warfare will be set during 2002's Operation Anaconda in Afghanistan.

The evidence is certainly piling up in favour of the rumour, and EA would be crazy not to redirect the Medal of Honor brand given the languishing appeal of Airborne. Also, considering Infinity Ward's success with its Modern Warfare games, we wouldn't be at all surprised to see EA take a leaf out of their book.

Thanks, VG247/Superannuation.
