EA reveals an annualised strategy for its key FPS properties...
Publishing giant, EA has effectively slapped a 2012 release on its next Medal of Honor instalment by revealing that it has the series in a yearly rotation with its other key first-person shooter IP, Battlefield.
"In general we're going to continue to follow our rotation strategy of giving studios a full two-year cycle to get a game built and polished to maximum quality," said EA Games Label President, Frank Gibeau.
"The idea is to have that rotation happen with Battlefield and Medal of Honor and keep it fresh so you don't burn the teams down or over-annualise the product lines," he added.
With Battlefield 3 nailed down for an October 25th launch this year and the Medal of Honor release in October of last year, this appears to reveal plans for an autumn 2012 release of the next instalment in the Medal of Honor series.
Following last year's Medal of Honor reboot, which moved the series from its traditional World War II setting to modern day warfare in Afghanistan, the series' Executive Producer, Greg Goodrich confirmed a full sequel of the reboot in February of this year.
