Sony stop production of their ‘home entertainment system’, the PSX…

Sony Japan has stopped manufacturing the PSX according to reports on the Japanese PSX homepage. Upon translation the simple message commented that production of both PSX models had been stopped; Sony is yet to release a statement.

The PSX combined many features into one system, it consisted of a PlayStation2 console with a DVD burner, music player, hard drive video recorder and a bunch of other multimedia features; although the system has failed to make significant impact on the Japanese market. The PSX was originally going to hit the shores of Europe and North America, but with this announcement, a release outside of Japan is now severely in doubt.

Weâ??ll bring you more information, soon.
