BioWare's RPG gets its first portion of downloadable content, featuring a new race and mission...
The first piece of downloadable content for Mass Effect is now available on Xbox Live for 400 Microsoft Points. The content features a new race called the Batarians in an all-new mission where Commander Shepard has to avert catastrophe by rerouting an asteroid.
It seems that some Batarian extremists have hijacked an asteroid in the Asgard System and put it on course to kill millions of civilians on Terra Nova. Gamers will have to save the day by rerouting the asteroid and foiling the diabolical schemes of those weird looking Batarians.
This new race loiters around the Terminus System and it would appear that they aren't particularly nice. The autocratic Batarian government has an isolationist policy with the rest of the galaxy, while Batarian thugs are known to run ruthless pirate gangs and slave rings.
BioWare has nestled this new mission halfway through the main Mass Effect game, which will certainly help to dissolve the tacked-on feel of some other DLC.

AAAAAAMMMMAAAAZING GAME! Finest RPG I've played in years! Must play more.
Always baffles me the space monkeys that could not like this game. Roughly equal to the amount of people who put forks in toasters...

This game sucked serious balls; the terrible cut scenes and bright colourful and unfitting graphics it was just all round terrible. The only thing I enjoyed was being able to chose what you say, other than that this game is facked.
