Empire unveil addictive, fun-fuelled racer from the creators of Micro Machines 2 for Playstation2, Xbox and PC…
Empire Interactive today lifted the lid on Mashed, a fun-filled racer currently in development at Supersonic for the Playstation2, Xbox and PC.
Although the name Supersonic may not ring many bells, the mere fact that these guys developed Micro Machines 2 for Codemasters should be reason alone to get very excited.
Utilising a similar top-down perspective, Mashed pits up to four players against each other in what is described as a â??gladiatorial racing battle extravaganzaâ?. Competing over 13 different locations, using whatever means necessary to batter and bruise your opponents into submission and claim victory, whilst making use of a plethora of weapons â?“ nine to be in fact, including Machine Guns, Mortars, Shotguns, Oil Slicks, flamethrowers, mines, barrel bombs and blinding fires.
In a cunning twist and guaranteed to raise the addiction levels, Mashed adopts a similar technique to that featured in Mario Kart: 64, allowing players who have lost a little time for redemption and the ability to launch missile strikes at whoever takes their fancy.
Weâ??ll have more on Mashed soon.
