Acclaim Announce Interview with a Made Man News

Forming part of a considerably adult-orientated 2005 line-up for Acclaim, comes the announcement of Interview with a Made Man, currently in development at Acclaim Studios for release on the â??currentâ?? generation of consoles.

"Interview with a Made Man is the first installment in an epic, high-action trilogy that will deliver the most authentic Mafia-based video game experience ever created," said Ben Fischbach, Director of Brand Management for Acclaim. "Working with David Fisher allows us to leverage his expertise and gain exclusive access into the real world of the Mafia, from racketeering and assassinations to the ultimate goal of becoming a Made Man."

Based on real-world events, players take control of Joey Verola as he is indoctrinated into the dark world of organised crime, reliving his every moments from his rise of a lowly to becoming a â??made manâ?.

However itâ??s the involvement of renowned Mafia expert David Fisher, which helps to elevate this past the myriad of gangster titles on the horizon. For those who may not recognise the name, Fisher has been responsible for ten bestsellers including the likes of â??Joey the Hitman: The Autobiography of a Mafia Killerâ? and â??Hard Evidenceâ? â?“ for which he was the only reporter ever to be given full access to the FBIâ??s famed crime lab.

Gamers can expect to get their hands grubby with a number of Mafia chores, including the likes of bookmaking, racketeering, loan-sharking, hijacking, assassinations and full-blown family wars as they rise through the ranks.

To assist in this matter great care has been spent to incorporate a wide variety of armed and melee weapons, ranging from Berettaâ??s to tommy-guns; whilst the game features an incredible level of interaction with the environment, allowing players to pick up whatever is near to use as a weapon. In addition weâ??re promised that the combat system will feature extensive human shield and disarm techniques for taking cover and getting out of sticky situations.

As youâ??d expect Acclaim are going all-out with regards to the production qualities, and we can shortly expect some big-name actors to lend their vocal talents to the game, whilst a licensed soundtrack composed of 60s, 70s and 80s tunes should create a captivating experience.
