US publication receives confirmation from Electronic Arts that the American Football franchise will be on Nintendo's next-gen console...
In an interview with US publication Gamespot the Head of EA Canada, John Schappert, has confirmed that the long-running American Football franchise Madden will be making an appearance on Nintendo's Revolution.
With development of the game, entitled Madden Revolution, taken away from the usual Madden developers at Tiburon and given to a dedicated team of Revolution producers within EA Canada, the focus seems to be very much on creating a unique experience for players courtesy of the controller.
Using the Revolution's unique controller to mimic a Quarterback's throw, or bringing up the controller in an arc to represent a kick, EA describes how players will find the experience 'unique and cool'. It seems that EA is getting its teeth into developing for the system, especially with confirmation that it's (rather unsurprisingly) working on a number of other Revolution titles.
More of Madden Revolution has been promised at E3; we'll have news shortly...
