THQ Reveals MX vs. ATV Reflex, the latest instalment in its motocross-come-quad bike racer series...
THQ has officially unveiled its next instalment in the MX vs. ATV series, MX vs. ATV Reflex, which will come to Xbox 360, PS3, PSP, and DS this year during the run-up to Christmas.
New features for the series include some impressive looking surface deformation technology, a dual thumbstick system for weight distribution and steering controls, as well as a renewed focus on making the series more accessible for the average gamer while retaining its hardcore audience.
We've gone hands on with the title already and were impressed by the new additions for this latest iteration, so check out our hot-off-the-presses, hands on preview here for more details.
Ian Wood, the game's Lead Art Director, also sat down with us for a quick chat about the title after our hands on. "We have diehard fans that are guaranteed to buy this game but we want to open it up a bit more and offer something to the first time user," he told us. "The organic experience and the easier entry level do that for us. What you saw today was pretty much the hardest of the hard but, believe me, there is a much easier level and a much more accessible way of getting into it."
Read more in our Q&A. You'll also find a new trailer and some screens lying about the place as well.

so when the crap is thq gonna quit slacking and make a game with more RE-playability than reflex?
sure it had some shiny new features such as,the new thumbstick controls, and track getting rutted out by the riders. but why the crap didnt they run with it and turn it into something even NON-MX fans would have fun with? playin the same old free rides, and same old races over and over again gets old quick. what about player developement? a career where you have to work your way up to earning a factory ride? then maybe starting your own bike shop and sponsor.
and seriously. what is UP with the AI riders?! ive seen these guys ride the wrong way down the track to take me out head on! they even inentionally turn the opposite direction of a corner and go off track to block me. whats realistic about a guy sacrificing his position in a race to HOPE to mess someone else up,without having been at least aggravated by that person first?!
i dont know who or how to get ahold of people in development. but come on guys, look at the competition, the costomers know theres better programming than that out there, step it up.
