Projections from US retailers suggest that Sony and Zipper Interactive's MAG could slip into a 2010 release window...
With so many of this autumn's shooters falling into a 2010 release window, it's beginning to look like Modern Warfare 2 will have an open goal this Christmas. The latest title to fall off the 2009 release schedules appears to be Sony's online shooter MAG, which US retailers are now listing as a 2010 release.
The game, which is in development at SOCOM studio Zipper Interactive, had previously been slated for an autumn 2009 launch by Sony, although prominent online retailers in the US (GameFly and GameStop) now have the title scheduled for January 2010 having previously listed a date in November as recently as a week ago.
Despite Sony's assurances to Kotaku that, "We haven't made any announcements in regards to the launch date, the retailers are just speculating," this apparent delay looks probable for the 256 player shooter.
