Former SEGA man behind REZ and the forthcoming Luminees and Meteos announces partnership with Bandai...

Bandai have recently announced the formation of a new studio within Japan entitled QB; now you may be wandering why the developer behind such popular Japanese titles such as the Dragon Ball Z series and Gundam Seed has anything to interest you â?“ well the new venture is headed by none other then the father of REZ Tetsuya Mizuguchi.

Naturally both of the titles that he is currently working on (Luminees and Meteos) will be thrown out under the new QB label, with the studioâ??s intention to develop games for the Nintendo DS and Sony PSP that anybody can enjoy.

The main characteristics of QB titles will be based heavily on simplicity, suggesting that all games will be easy enough to play without reading a manual; they will always introduce fresh ideas; and further the convergence of various entertainment mediums.

Luminees is scheduled for a Japanese release for the PSP on December 12th, followed by the Nintendo DS release of Meteos in Japan on February 24th 2005; sadly neither game has yet to be confirmed for Europe, however weâ??ll have an update soon.

Addictive. Every PSP owner should have this game and one of the mercury games in their collection.

Lumnines is one of the best puzzle games that I have played for a while. You know a puzzle game is good when you start having dreams about playing it. The gameplay is simple and the graphics are amazing. All of it is rounded off nicely by the music and sounds. All in all, its a must have for any puzzle player or anyone with a PSP for that matter.
