Xbox Live Arcade Wednesdays get a little hotter with the release of Lumines Live...

Tetsuya Mizuguchi's long-awaited classic, Lumines, finally makes an appearance on Live later today with release of Lumines Live. Possibly the finest 1200 Microsoft Points (£10.20) you will ever spend, the music/puzzle title features all-new modes, exclusive music videos and full online multiplayer via Xbox Live.

With the traditional assortment of 'Challenge', 'Puzzle' and 'VS' single-player modes, Lumines Live also contains all-new 'Skin Edit' and 'Mission' modes, along with a 'Time Attack' that can be downloaded and played back by other players.

With the customary Achievements and Leaderboards and the promise of enough downloadable content to keep your Microsoft Points rolling in, an 'Advance Pack' will also be on offer via the Marketplace containing 22 new skins for the sum of 600 Microsoft Points.

Lumines Live will be available on the Marketplace from October 18th 8:00 (GMT); if you've yet to indulge in Mizuguchi-san' mesmerising masterpiece, make sure to check it out - there is nothing more enjoyable then nailing all the Achievements whilst tapping along to whatever Mizuguchi-san has in store.
