Microsoft has today confirmed that Lumines Live! will be expanding from next Wednesday, when additional content will be released for the Xbox Live Arcade title.

A part of the ongoing "Xbox Live Arcade Wednesdays", two new packs and a skin will be released from next Wednesday (January 24th) at 9:00am GMT. Music for the skin, Heavenly Star, has been performed by the Q Entertainment-produced band, Genki Rockets. The two packs, VS CPU mode and Puzzle/Mission Mode, will fill in the remaining gaps in the Lumines Live! menu screen. The Puzzle/Mission mode will include 40 new missions and 90 new puzzles for players to complete, adding to the limited number available in the original download.

All three downloads will be available with promotional prices for a limited time (until February 21st), with the skin free for Xbox Live Gold Members, and both packs available for 100 Microsoft Points each. After February 21st, the packs will then be available for their full price of 300 Microsoft Points.

Lumines Live! was the first Xbox Live Arcade title to be released in stages, with the total price of additional packs making it one of the most expensive XLA titles to date.
