The former Creative Director of Ubisoft Montreal's Far Cry 2 starts work on an unannounced project at LucasArts...
Clint Hocking, the former Creative Director of Far Cry 2 and Lead Level Designer on Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory, who departed from Ubisoft Montreal earlier this year, has emerged at LucasArts where he's working on a mystery project.
This news, which was first revealed by Ubisoft's Senior Community Developer, Kimi Matsuzaki in a Tweet has since been confirmed by an official response from LucasArts: "We are pleased to announce that Clint Hocking has joined LucasArts as Creative Director on an unannounced project," the statement reads (thanks, Gamespot).
When Hocking left Ubisoft in May of this year, he wrote a farewell note on his blog that explained his reasons for moving on. The note, which became something of a talking point across the intertubes at the time, was as touching to some as it was confusing to others. Here's an excerpt:
"It's the fractal of my emotional landscape; habits recursing through habits, great pustules of discontent revealing themselves to be whiskered with golden curls of incredible joy which themselves, on closer inspection, reveal an acne of sorrow speckling their surfaces, ad infinitum."
What do you think? A somewhat heart-rending proclamation or an entirely bewildering read?
