Capcom confirms its second sequel in the space of a fortnight as the bleak snow of Lost Planet makes itself known...
Not content with bringing back zombies, Capcom has today confirmed a sequel to 2007's Lost Planet, entitled rather unsurprisingly, Lost Planet 2.
In development under the watchful eye of Resident Evil 5 producer Jun Takeuchi, Lost Planet 2's existence was confirmed exclusively via a trailer on the Xbox Live Marketplace. The trailer, which reveals that co-op gameplay will be a feature of the follow up, as well as both snowy and jungle settings. Expect further details to be released by Capcom in the coming days.
Capcom's R&D chief, Keiji Inafune, revealed to Japanese mag Famitsu at the end of January that a Lost Planet title was in the works.
News of Lost Planet 2 comes just weeks after Capcom confirmed a sequel to Dead Rising.
[UPDATE] The trailer has now been removed from Marketplace, with its listing on Xbox.com now reverting to 'Capcom Top Secret Game Announcement'.

lol ive got a 360 and all these mistakes m$ are making will just push developers away from making dlc for xbox and making it less likly m$ will do another gta exclusive dlc pack or at least secure a deal with EA,Rockstar ect.
m$ is using typical american muscle where as sony are using an evo x (basicly the V8 has got to its top speed but is running out of juice where as the evo x is catching up fast and has plenty of juice left to go for miles more) remember the ps3 has only been out for just over 2 years and its only 8 million units behind the 360 which is over 3 years old now.
lost plannet 2 will look awsome on the ps3 i doubt the 360 has what it takes to do the same.

Just seen the Lost Planet 2 unveil trailer, and it was introduced by Jun Takeuchi - who said he was proud that the trailer was being released on Xbox Live Marketplace.
So it was an exclusive reveal for Xbox 360, and not a 'cheap tricks' campaign by MS. Don't worry though, it's going to be released on PS3 when it does arrive.

So this is the second time Xbox has incorrectly posted something on LIVE. The first time was a DLC for Burnout Paradise and now this.
Either they are really being irresponsible, or they are knowingly blurting things on LIVE to try to derail or hur the PS3.
Cheap tricks Microsoft.
