Cyanide tackles great mythologies as they announce development on Hack 'n' Slash title...

French studios Cyanide, best known for their fantasy sports title Chaos League, has today announced a new game set in the world of myth. The game takes players through a few of the world's best known mythologies including Norse, Greek, Egyptian and Aztec, as they fight for the will of the gods that they worship.

With the world threatened by the Egyptian god of darkness and evil, Seth, players will have to face creatures from each of the mythologies, and experience some of the key events from the four cultures including Ragnarok and the Siege of Troy. Fighting a path through to a final battle against Seth, players will take on the persona of a Shaman, a magician, a warrior, and Norse fighter through single or multiplayer modes, including PvP battlegrounds.

Currently in development for PC, Loki is expected to be released in September 2006.

We'll have more on Loki shortly...
