Lineage II Gets Hellbound Expansion News

NC Soft has announced the release of the latest Lineage II expansion, Hellbound. The expansion will bring new features to the MMO such as an increased level capacity of 85, enhancements to the pet system, as well as more quests and skills.

Added transformation options allow players to temporarily turn into an alter-ego with unique skills, while enhancements to the pet system means that wolf pet can be grown into a Fenir mount. Hellbound also allows players to do battle with the powerful Beleth boss and journey through the towers of the Steel Citadel.

"The content in our Hellbound expansion really rounds out what we started in Kamael," said Tim Tan, NCsoft's North American Producer of Lineage II. "The expansion was very popular with our players and we're happy to follow up with more content, so soon after its launch. Players can really sink their teeth into the Hellbound area of the game, and the raised level cap gives them a fighting chance against Beleth!"

This expansion follows last December's The Kamael, which saw the introduction of a new race to Lineage II. These angelic looking, one-winged avatars have been playing their part in The Chaotic Throne storyline ever since.

News of this Hellbound expansion comes as NC Soft prepares for tomorrow's release of the Lineage II Collector's Edition retail package. Offering the most up to date client for the game, this box set will also come with the usual complimentary art book; a Kamael figurine; discount tokens for server features; three exclusive in-game items; the game's soundtrack on CD, as well as a Lineage II world map and a couple of posters.
