Legendary: The Box Opening Summer '08 News

Currently in development for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC, Spark Unlimited's Legendary: The Box has been pencilled in for a broad release during the summer.

Speaking about the game, which follows players as they try to destroy mythical monsters released in the modern day from Pandora's Box, Atari's Executive Vice President of publishing and production, Mathias Hautefort said: "This exciting and original title takes the lead in our Atari Shooter line up...Producing a game of this quality and scale is a major undertaking, but the highly talented team at Spark Unlimited is more than up to the job."

"This is the project we want to be working on and it's shaping up to be something amazing," said Craig Allen, CEO of Spark Unlimited. "Legendary is the type of game we want every gamer, regardless of system allegiance, to get the chance to play. We're taking our time to ensure optimum performance, regardless of platform."

It's been a busy couple of years for Spark Unlimited, which is also putting the final touches to alternate history shooter, Turning Point: Fall of Liberty for Codemasters.
