LA Noire A Year Away And Coming To 360??? News

Rockstar's LA Noire, under development at Australian outfit Team Bondi, may no longer be a PS3 exclusive and it could be another a year before the title is released.

Or at least that's what the President of the Australian Game Developer's Association and CEO of Tantalus, Tom Crago, told an audience at GC Asia 08. According to IGN, Crago stated that there's "another year or so to go" of development on the film noire styled crime thriller.

He also mentioned that it's due for release on both PS3 and Xbox 360, although the title has only previously been confirmed as a PS3 exclusive, and it appears no expense has been spared where development is concerned:

"[It] could be the biggest budget videogame in development anywhere in the world," said Crago. "It would certainly... in terms of console titles, be in the top ten... LA Noire is a massive massive project."

Crago was also optimistic about the title's prospects, suggesting that it could be the breakout game for Australian game development:

"It's one that we hold huge hopes for. It has been said about Australia that we've not been that successful putting out a title that really has set the world on fire; a big budget title that's sold multiple million copies and that has really put us on the map as a hub for videogame development. There are plenty of people who are hoping that L.A. Noire will be that title."
