We take a look at the details known so far on the latest James Bond adventure...

The James Bond license has been quite a lucrative one for the videogames industry; for most gamers Goldeneye defined the perfect Bond experience, whilst subsequent titles have seen success for EA as the US publisher decided to go it alone and create original stories in the James Bond 007 series.

EA recently confirmed the fifth title in the series, ‘James Bond 007: Everything or Nothing’, scheduled for release on the Playstation2, Xbox, GameCube and GameBoy Advance later in the year.

To make the most of last years presumably costly acquisition of the rights to use Pierce Brosnan’s likeness within the games, ‘Everything or Nothing’ will move the camera away from the traditional first-person to an all-new third-person perspective. The change in perspective has allowed EA to include hand-to-hand combat for the first time, whilst we’ve been promised that the wide range of guns and gadgets will return with over 20 new weapons and gadgets.

Whilst EA are keeping specific details on the plot and characters a secret until the games unveiling at E3, we know that the locations will span across the globe and take in such places as the French quarter of New Orleans, a mountain fortress in Peru, a secret faculty in Egypt, and Red Square in Moscow. EA has also informed us to keep an eye out for the return of a ‘couple’ of classic Bond villains, from the ‘Hollywood’ cast.

Wisely recognising the benefits that the driving sections created in previous titles, EA are promising that players will be able to seamlessly switch between on-foot exploration to piloting a wide range of vehicles, including cars, motorcycles, helicopters and tanks.

The final game will feature a two-player co-op mode and a range of four-player split-screen arena styled combat modes.
