Jak And Daxter Make PSP Debut News

While Daxter may have appeared in his very own PSP spin-off a few years back, Sony has now announced that the first title to feature both the furry Ottsel and his partner Jak together on PSP will be Jak and Daxter: The Lost Frontier.

The game is heading to both Sony's handheld and the PS2, with SCEE pinning an autumn 2009 release window on the title at this stage.

Once again, the story will follow the duo's efforts to balance the forces of light and dark eco on their planet. In doing this, they will have to help their friend Kiera become a sage so that she can get rid of pesky dark eco that is slowly destroying the planet's environment.

To help them along the way, Sony has provided the pair with a brand new weapon, the Gunstaff, which can transform into a menagerie of other weapons (potentially, then, that's a whole range of new weapons).

Five different aircraft have also been promised for this latest Jak and Daxter title, so presumably there will be plenty of aerial mayhem alongside the trademark humour and fun gameplay that the series is famed for.
