Jason Rubins announces his intention of leaving Naughty Dog after Jak III…

Having made a keynote speech at the recent D.I.C.E Summit, Naughty Dog founder Jason Rubins, today confirmed his intention of leaving the US developer after work has been completed on â??Jak IIIâ??.

Rubin and Andy Gavin formed Naughty Dog back in 1986, who became a Sony second-hand developer in 2001 with the success of the â??Crash Bandicootâ?? series; itâ??s believed that the announcement will have no impact on the relationship with SCEE.

Whilst no concrete plans have been laid out, itâ??s believed that the Rubin wants to explore other avenues in the videogames industry whilst working to improve relationships between developers and publishers.

Intriguingly, Rubin recently confirmed his interest in working with Nintendo at some point on G4, the American videogame channel; whilst itâ??s too early to say whether this has any truth or not, itâ??s certainly an interesting point to consider.
