Bioshock developer changes its studio name back; mysterious timer hints when Ken Levine's game will appear...
Shortly after becoming part of the 2K publishing family in 2006, Irrational Games chose to fall in line and dub itself 2K Boston and 2K Australia. However it seems the studio behind System Shock 2, Freedom Force and Bioshock has had a change of mind, with confirmation that it will be reverting back to Irrational Games.
Having deiced that they didn't want to work on a Bioshock sequel, it was announced that Ken Levine's studio would work on an entirely new project. Hopefully the countdown timer on display at the website is an indication of when the veil will finally be removed. Previous rumours have suggested that the studio is attempting to revive the X-COM franchise, although if the style of the timer is anything to go by, then this seems a little wayward.
If that's the case we can expect the mystery to be unravelled tomorrow at 16:00 (GMT).
