Ubisoft's disaster adventure switches development studios to respect new launch date...
The lack of any concrete details on Ubisoft's enigmatic disaster title, I Am Alive, has led to a few suspicious tweaks of the eyebrows around TVG office, and it seems all is not entirely well with the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC title.
Confirming reports, an Ubisoft spokesperson informed TVG that the title has indeed changed hands from the game's original developer Darkworks to Ubisoft Shanghai.
"In order to respect the new launch date for this ambitious title, and Darkworks having other obligations, we have mutually decided to complete development of I Am Alive at Ubisoft Shanghai, as the two studios have collaborated on aspects of the title over the past year."
Let's hope that the new date and change of hands provides I Am Alive with the opportunity to realise its true potential.

This doesn't bode particularly well - can anyone tell me the last game which switched developers mid-way through that didn't turn out fairly poor?
I also like the way they call it a 'mutual decision'. Yeah, like Darkworks were really complicit in this decision...
