Hitman 5 rumours resurface following concept posters that emerged earlier this week...

Empty rumour or solid evidence?

TVG Comments Board

Foillowing the 'Hitman 2011' concept posters that emerged earlier this week, and were subsequently dismissed by IO Interactive, anonymous sources have now indicated that Hitman 5 is indeed in development and could release as early as next Christmas.

One source told Eurogamer that Hitman 5 will be released, "at the very earliest Christmas next year," while retail sources told the site that a late 2011 release is "most likely". Play.com is even listing the game for a November 2011 release.

The concept posters that emerged earlier this week appeared to be the strongest indication yet that Hitman 5 is coming before an IO Interactive spokesperson reportedly said that, "the concept art was created as part of a portfolio. [It was] intended to showcase an artist's style or method of work and does not represent any new Hitman game."

Hitman 5 will happen soon. I read between the lines in that spokesperson's statement as "the concept art does not officially represent the new Hitman game that we are working on."

Yup gotta agree with ya - instead of Kane & Lynch and Mini Ninjas, can't understand why IO won't give us a proper Hitman for this generation.

Besides there's no true stealth games around at the moment, they would have the market to themselves.
