Ubisoft Revives Heroes of Might & Magic News

Briefly hinted at during a recent line-up announcement, fans of the legendary Might & Magic franchise look likely to receive some much needed relief as today Ubisoft announced the first details on Heroes of Might & Magic V.

Following on from breathing new life into the Prince of Persia and Myth franchises, Ubisoft hopes to successfully re-launch the fantasy franchise that began in 1985 and found itself slowly fading from the map while under the control of 3DO in recent times.

For the fifth title in the â??Heroesâ? series Ubisoft promise a more mature experience, benefiting from the features and characteristics that established the franchise while offering many new innovations such as a highly immersive scenario, advanced factions, cutting-edge 3D visuals, a revolutionary tactical/combat system and a story driven campaign mode.

Heroes of Might & Magic V is currently in development at Nival Interactive and slated for a worldwide release in early 2006; weâ??ll have more information soon.
