Halo 3 Secrets Unearthed??? News

Despite ongoing work by Microsoft to clamp down on Xbox 360 modders, it seems that one community has managed to access hidden files buried within the Halo 3 Multiplayer Beta, and discovered some very interesting (and as yet unconfirmed) details about the shooter.

According to Gamesradar, which unearthed the modder's forum, the data mentions supposed new vehicles (including the UNSC's Pelican dropship and Chopper) and weapons such as the long worked on Flamethrower. New equipment including 'Instacover' and a jamming device have also been apparently unearthed, though these details remain speculative for now.

Additional multiplayer modes, such as Infection (which revolves around killing Flood or becoming part of their zombie-like hive) are also mentioned in the community forum - which has now been removed.

However, just because lines of code have been found doesn't necessarily mean that any of it will make the final version of the game and may just remain hidden. After all, that's how the Rockstar Hot Coffee row started.
