April 9th Is Significant Date For Bungie [UPDATE] News

The Seattle based developer hints that significant news may be coming on April 4th...

At the bottom of Bungie's weekly newsletter, the developer has teased that a significant reveal may be heading our way on April 9th.

"P.S. 04/09/09," Bungie noted in the newsletter (presumably using the US date format), although we're not exactly sure what the developer could possibly be hinting at.

The strongest possibility is the release of the Mythic Map Pack on Xbox Live and, given the low-key hint in the newsletter, this would certainly make sense. After all, it's not as if the map pack, which Collector's Edition owners of Halo Wars are already playing, would merit a teaser of ODST proportions.

More as we get it...

UPDATE: Microsoft has now confirmed that Bungie's teaser was for the Mythic Map Pack release date.
