Microsoft set to chop the price off the Xbox in the US…
According to recent reports in The Wall Street Journal, Microsoft is set to reduce the price of the Xbox in the US by 15% as it gears up for another bout against Sony and the Playstation2.
Citing inside sources, itâ??s believed that the Xbox will be reduced to $149 by April, sparking what could be yet another price-war between Sony and Microsoft. Currently the Xbox and Playstation2 both retail for $179 in the US; certainly a price reduction by both would again spur the market on and certainly leave question marks on to what Nintendo will be able to do with the GameCube.
Naturally Microsoft chose not to confirm or deny the rumour; however you can be certain that weâ??ll have more information soon.
