New Halo 2 Matchmaking Details Revealed News

Bungie has announced a rough date of â??September-ishâ? for its next Halo 2 Matchmaking Update, which will be released around the time that the nine new multi-player maps will be available to download for free via Xbox Live. Featuring a raft of new options, most notably the Multi-Team gametypes, which will see four teams of three battle it out across frantic variants such as â??Multi-ballsâ?? (two oddballs), â??Plasma Warsâ? (Plasma Weapons, No Vehicles, No Grenades, Brute Plasma Rifle start) and â??Gulch Warsâ? (Coagulation only, Scorpions and Warthogs, Human Weapons, BR start.

Multi-Team variants will also take in some of the classic modes including Team Slayer and other Slayer variants such as Team Snipers and Team Slayer Human Battle Rifles, 3 Plots, Classic Capture the Flag, Team Ball, Neutral Flag and Neutral Bomb.

Bungie has also announced that some of the maps will also be tweaked and tuned so that for instance, Battle Rifles will be the default weapon on the Relic and Terminal maps.
