Halo 2.5 - Xbox2 ??? News

When the credits of Halo 2 began to roll all-too-soon and the cold, harsh reality of waiting for Halo 3 began to sink in, rumours of Halo 2.5 began to muster as quickly as those that suggested Halo 1.5 would arrive.

However the future of Halo 2.5 today took an unexpected twist, with a reported statement featuring in the Official Xbox Magazine. The lack of a Halo title for the launch of Xbox2 has always been a concern for Microsoft, with sources suggesting to TVG that Rare were being pressured to have Perfect Dark Zero in time for launch to make some amends. However today we have learnt that Halo 2.5 could possibly turn up, although probably not exactly where youâ??d expect.

Apparently Halo 2.5 will incorporate support for HDTV in addition to improved visuals and effects, whilst also including all of the material that gamers expected from Halo 2 but simply didnâ??t make the cut.

However hereâ??s the bombshell... Apparently Halo 2.5 will come pre-installed on the optional HDD that Microsoft are rumoured to be releasing additionally to the Xbox2; providing a real reason to pick one up along with a tantalising suggestion that this is only â??one of twoâ? reasons to pick it up â?“ perhaps it has an Xbox emulator on there as well.

Whilst this all sounds quite frankly preposterous, weâ??d have to say that nothing surprises us about Halo, Bungie and Microsoft these days â?“ so as per usual look out for more information soon.
