Well maybe not quite, but we can expect to see more then the traditional 16-player limit at least...
Speaking to the Official Xbox Magazine; J Allard, Vice President Xbox Division, confirmed that we can expect to see a whole lot more, then what we’re used to regarding the Xbox Live! aspects of Halo 2.<br><br>When posed with the question as to why Xbox Live! games are being capped to 16 players, when the likes of Battlefield 1942 allows up to 64 PC players to fight off; Allard replied that Halo 2 would allow for more then 16 and that the issue was because Xbox Live! needs to allow a certain amount of bandwidth for speech, claiming that anything more would need to be server based as opposed to a user hosting matches currently employed in Xbox Live! titles.<br><br>So great news for Xbox owners as we can begin to salivate over the prospects of truly multiplayer battles between mankind and the covenant on a war-stricken Earth; let’s just hope it doesn’t open the way for monthly fees…
