Halo 2 Guerrilla Marketing In Full Effect News

Keen-eyed Halo fanatics may have noticed a rather strange website being advertised on the recent Halo 2 Theatrical Trailer, replacing the standard www.xbox.com with www.ilovebees.com.

A quick glance of the aforementioned website reveals a â??Guerrilla Marketingâ? campaign in full effect, with the seemingly innocuous website hosting what appears to be a virus attack, as you can see from the attached screenshot.

Besides the typical bee-related information, further exploration through the site reveals a number of cryptic messages, such as â??Reveal the Truthâ? and â??I've been here forever. Conscious, unconscious. On, off. On, off. On off on off on off on off onâ?¦â?

The website contains a link to a personal blogspot, which amongst other things makes constant references to August 24th â?“ a date in which Windows 95 was launched, printing was completed on the first Guttenberg Bible and Mt Vesuvius erupts for the first time.

Certainly this ties in with the timer on the first site and suggests that â??somethingâ?? Halo 2 related will be occurring on August 24th; many have been quick to speculate that this will be the release of a playable single-player Halo 2 demo â?“ although quite honestly weâ??re baffled at present.
