Halo 2 Cheats – Bungie Speaks (Again) News

Over the last few weeks we have been closely following the rampant cheating on Halo 2 on Xbox Live! and looking at what Bungie have to say on the situation. Well theyâ??ve finally released some details about the fixes and patches that are currently undergoing testing and weâ??ve got to point out from the start that you can all wave goodbye to the â??flying swordâ?? technique (at least on Live!).

The fixed glitches will include:

• Stopping the â??super-high bouncing flagâ?? phenomenon
• Grabbing the flag through solid walls
• Elite melee ghosting
• Sword flying will be no-more (on Live! at least â?“ it will still be available in the single-player game)
• Ghosting weapons (weapons you couldnâ??t pick up from the ground)
• Red Teams will no longer be the automatic winners in the result of a tie
• End to bouncy teleporting on Beaver Creek
• The ability to use destroyed turrets

Perhaps more importantly the steps taken by Bungie to stop cheating include:

• Several fixes to stop â??Modem standby cheatsâ??
• Solutions to stop hosting abuse

Bungie have also commented that they are looking at how non-Live! multiplay can be updated too, although no details have been provided yet. A specific date for the update is also yet to be confirmed although Bungie have broadly stated that they hope to release it in about a monthâ??s time.
