Following on from this <a href= http://www.totalvideogames.com/tvg.php?news_read=true&news_id=2270>morning’s announcement</a> regarding the PS2 price-cut, Microsoft have immediately announced a European price cut for the Xbox. <br /> <br /> As of August 30th the Xbox will go on sale for £159.99 (240 euros), which makes it £10 cheaper then the Playstation2 in the vital run up to Christmas. <br /> <br /> “The video games industry is more robust than ever this year, and new consoles and games are expected to dominate Christmas wish lists,” said Sandy Duncan, Vice President, Xbox Europe. “Xbox is extremely well-positioned to be at the top of those lists because it’s the best value. The intense power and gaming experiences consumers get with Xbox is simply unsurpassed.” <br />
