Next-generation first-person-shooter from the creators of TimeSplitters...
Ubisoft today announced the development of Haze, a new first-person-shooter for the Playstation3, Xbox 360 and PC, currently in development at Free Radical Design, creators of the hit TimeSplitters series.
Scheduled for an early 2007 launch, Haze employs a new engine designed from the ground up, created by Free Radical to take advantage of the next-generation systems. Set 25 years into the future, a time when governments have outsourced military operations to private multinational corporations. Assuming the role of Jake Carpenter, a newly enlisted soldier in the Mantel army, seeking fulfilment and thrills by fighting for a good cause.
With an arsenal of high-tech vehicles, deadly weaponry and performance enhancing bio-med support, the Mantel army is feared across the world by terrorists, dictators and the corporation's political enemies.
Beginning in a war-torn South American country, Carpenter has been sent into battle to fight a vicious rebel faction named The Promised Hand. What appears to be a routine mission however quickly changes, when things begin to take a turn for the strange.
Look out for more on Haze very soon...

HAZE has to be one of the most anticipated titles coming out towards the end of the year...if only Ubi would just confirm that it'll be out on Xbox 360 before 2008 too ;)
