Guitar Heroes Invited To Download Festival News

If you're a bona fide rock god at RedOctane's Guitar Hero, then you might fancy your chances at this year's Download Festival, which is set to take place at Donington Park, Castle Donington between the 9th and 11th of June. Guitar maker Gibson, who's SG model was replicated for Guitar Hero, is giving gamers the chance to play the title on the third stage at the event, with an audience capacity of 2,500 people.

"Download is the greatest rock festival in the world, and we're thrilled to be able to partner with Gibson and Myspace.com to offer Guitar Hero players the opportunity to play the Third Stage," says Kelly Sumner, CEO, RedOctane. "The only part of the rock star experience missing in Guitar Hero is the live crowd - and for three days only, Gibson and Myspace.com will be providing it.
