Activision is releasing the Top Gun Anthem as free DLC to celebrate America's Independence Day on July 4th...
What better way is there to celebrate your nation's independence from tyrannical British rule than by releasing the Top Gun Anthem as DLC for Guitar Hero III? While some suggestions here at the TVG office would opt instead for Jimi Hendrix's rendition of the Star Spangled Banner, this might not go down quite so well with the ever patriotic American populace.
Instead, Activision has opted for the theme of Top Gun, a film with heavier homo-erotic overtones than Brokeback Mountain. Perhaps the US publisher is using this opportunity to have a jab at the US Military's 'Don't ask, don't tell' policy.
Either way, the downloadable content will be available from July 3rd and it will be free to download for Xbox LIVE and PSN users. We're just wondering whether Tom Cruise has time during his busy Scientology promoting schedule to play some Guitar Hero - perhaps not.

as for the xbox live.75 pence a week for the best online community is a deal and a half.everybody comunicating with each other and clan support in most games.the ps3 has a lot of chatching up to do and by the way i was a ps3 owner for 5 months then i sold up because it is pure $hit.waiting for them to give us the updates we desperatly need like HOME when are us in the EU going to get it a full year after everybody else?? they dont care about the EU.

ho ho ha ha no its just the sony mega bucks station 3.you mark my words xbox360 will be getting crisis ported over from the p.c mabe a slimed down version but it will happen the ps3---NO WAY---.to much work to develop for blue ray.
