Activision confirms the release of a new pack containing three tracks from My Chemical Romance...
Marking an about-turn for the downloadable strategy that has attracted widespread condemnation for guitar Hero fans, Activision today confirmed the release of new content that hasn't (for a change) been tapped from their existing back catalogue.
From today, My Chemical Romance fans will be able to play along to three songs from The Black Parade album (Teenagers, Famous Last Words, This Is How I Disappear), with the option of previewing a track before purchasing it for the customary price of 500 Microsoft Points. The strategy follows a similar path to MTV Games and Harmonix approach with Rock Band by licensing original content, though the restriction to three songs in a pack once again seems a strange one and is likely to cause further consternation amongst the Guitar Hero fanbase.
"We're pleased to offer fans of the Guitar Hero franchise the best tracks from one of the hottest selling albums of the year," said Tim Riley, Worldwide Executive of Music for Activision. "My Chemical Romance has even appeared on television playing Guitar Hero II, and we're thrilled to build on our relationship with them."

wireless guitars should be available with gh3 in the near future. until then, i still enjoy the game. Ive just earned 5 stars on jordan and freebird, even with a wired guitar.

So let me get this right... I pay £69.99 (RRP) for Guitar Hero 2 on 360 (without wireless), and then probably have to pay another £40 to get the superior line-up of the original... Activision should have had all the original tracks available from Day 1 for free...

Guitar hero 2 is totally awsome. The one thing that bothers me though, is that didn't put enough notes in hard mode. Some areas where they give you 2 notes to play, but you hear for example another 2-3 notes played automatically in between, i just think they could have put a couple extra notes in some places. . .and taken away some notes in others, its hard mode not expert. we don't need a huge section of seemingly random notes to hit, i mean its hard mode. . .not expert mode. Awsome game though. . .i am forever a loyal fan, and those of you who say it sucks, can kiss my ass!!!
