Activision's Guitar Hero website lists a September 1st release date for Guitar Hero 5...
Activision and Red Octane are planning to launch the next Guitar Hero iteration a couple of months earlier than usual, with Guitar Hero 5 being pegged for a September 1st release on the official Guitar Hero website.
This means that the game will release in the US nine days before The Beatles: Rock Band is scheduled to launch across all territories, which will no doubt spoil MTV Games and Harmonix's launch party plans for The Beatles: Rock Band.
Clearly, hell hath no fury like an Activision scorned (remember when MTV Games nabbed Harmonix from under Activision's nose?) and we're guessing there's no love lost between the two publishers.
The last couple of full Guitar Hero releases (as opposed to spin-offs such as GH: Metallica) have been released in late October in the US, with European SKUs following-on in November.
If recent form is anything to go by (i.e. GH World Tour's release dates), then we shouldn't necessarily expect Guitar Hero 5 to launch in Europe on September 4th and it may take a couple of weeks for the game's various bundle and game SKUs to cross the Atlantic.

Dylans actually worked with some insane guitarist. they should use the song dirge from the planet waves album, robby robertson from "the band" shreds that entire album. also, the song tombstone blues might be sick, mike bloomfields badass.

just cause the songs don't make your fingers blister doesn't mean they suck fast music doesn't equal good music, sultans of swing will be fun as hell along with under pressure, smells like teen spirit, what i got, rock show, and more just cuase a song isn't near impossible to beat on the game doesn't make it suck. for me if it's a song i like and something fun to play even if it's easy it's a great track choice. you sound like my idiot lil brother who thinks loud and fast is the only way to go
