Access to the 'Sneak Peak Weekend', a jump start on XP, and exclusive weapons confirmed in the upcoming Pre-Release pack...
NCsoft has today confirmed a release date for the Guild Wars: Eye of the North Pre-Release Pack, a sneak peak preview of the upcoming 'first expansion' for the franchise.
Arriving on Europe on July 20th, the pack will allow gamers access to the 'Sneak Peak Weekend' over the weekend of August 24th-26th, exclusive weapons, and a Guild Wars Trilogy Trial DVD that allows access to the three Guild Wars campaigns (Prophecies, Factions, and Nightfall) over a ten-hour or fourteen day period.
"We believe this feature-packed prerelease delivers real value to our players," said Mike O'Brien, co-founder of ArenaNet. "From past experience, we expect the Sneak Peek Weekend alone to be hugely popular, and players won't want to miss this chance to get a leg-up before the game goes live."
Guild Wars: Eye of the North is the final release in the franchise before NCsoft launches Guild Wars 2 in 2008/2009.

Wow, I haven't played Guild Wars in like 2 years (not my fault, my cousin was supposed to give me his copy 2 years ago because he was bored with the game, but decided to keep it to play some more.) and there's another expansion already in the works? Jeez. I haven't played any of the other expansions, just the original. I've got a lot of catching up to do in very little time. Oh, and congrats to AreaNet on the 4 million. It was bound to happen cause Guild Wars is awesome. Now if only we could get rid of WoW's fee... (What, I like my money.)
