For those of you who haven't played Gran Turismo yet, you haven't lived yet.
Gran Turismo is an all out racing game with excitement, thrill and whole lot of awesome cars. Not only can you buy cars ranging from the infamous Civic, but you can also buy the famous Dodge Viper. With that said, don't think that that's all you can do with these amazing cars, you tune them up, buy them in a various different colours and you even get to customize them into racing cars. Don't like the Eunos Roadsters' horsepower, but love the car? No problem, just go to the maintenance screen and "rev up" those horsepowers baby!

This game is not just for car freaks, but for any type of players, and trust us, once you get into the game, you'll not want to put it down until you've turned that measily 94 Supra into a beast. The creators for this game are geniouses, up to date, we haven't seen a racing car game like this one.

Ok, lets get down to the cold hearted facts. The tracks to this game can get sort of boring after awhile of playing the game (most of the tracks are the same, they just re-route them for you to go in different directions). Another tedious little flaw that can really annoy the impatient player is the whole deal with the user having to go through a number of license tests to access more tracks with better pay. And don't think that you'll be able to get through playing the whole game without getting the licenses, you won't get far earning $250 a race in the Spot Races. As apposed to that, there's not much that you can hold against this game to call it a bad game.

The visual specs to this game are just phenominal, it actually makes you think that you're cruising down a hill in a 300 ZX at 350hp. The only thing that's missing is the hot chick under your right arm, but that's why we have imaginations. The replay scenes make you feel as if you're watching a real race on TV, and for some reason, you just can't get enough out of watching your car do three doughnuts in the replay mode.

There are also several different modes of play. You can choose from the actual series where you try to make your car number 1, or if you don't know what to play when those guests come over and this is the only game you get your hands on, then go to the arcade mode for quick little races where you get to choose from all the companies and several cars. Think we're done, not even close. You can also test your car's maximum speed, turning and quality in the Practice Modes you get to choose. Another little funny, yet useless, mode that this game has is the Car Wash in which your old, beat up car can now be shined to a sparkly clean finish. So clean, you can see your reflection on the hood.

In my opinion, this game is an overall great racing car game. Fun for all ages and a very hard game to get bored of. Sure you might stop playing it for awhile after months of grueling and intensified play, but you'll always come back to it, trust me.
