Kazunori-san and the Polyphony team are still working on it... apparently...
Fans of Gran Turismo waiting for the fabled PSP version to emerge have had a long, tough period to endure, however it finally seems as though some details have become apparent... just don't expect too much.
Speaking to IGN, Polyphony's Kazunori Yamauchi provided an update on Gran Turismo 5 for the PS3:
"There's no real answer we can discuss right now, but production is moving forward," he quizzically exclaimed.
When the question switched to the PSP version, Kazunori-san added, "I can only answer the same for that as well, but it is moving forward. It hasn't been knocked off the plans: it's there."
Same as always then.

Bought the game today, and I dont mind a lot of content missing in the mobile version... but why on earth is it NOT possible to have small competitions?!?!? I dont see any reason to leave out events like that... I must say, I'm dissapointed and 40 euros lighter

Maybe they're reserving infrastructure mode for the sequel. It took Polyphony Digital long enough to add online multiplayer in the home console series and dito for car damage. The PSP2 will probably be released before either of those features come to the handheld versions. Still, Polyphony Digital is an awesome developer nonetheless.

Nope you've only got ad-hoc - bit of a shame and a missed opportunity, can't understand why develoeprs don't support infrastructure...

I have been waiting for 2 years... searching the web for a psp version of gran turismo. (one of my favorite games of all time.) So far all I have found are empty promises. To the game developers: Please release a playable PSP Gran Turismo. I may speak alone, but i don't really care about the quality of the graphics.. Just wish I had something to play after all this waiting.
