The dispute comes to an end presumably in time for Piranha to work on Gothic 5...
Gothic publisher JoWood and the series' creator Piranha Bytes today announced the settlement of their differences and resolution of the spat that led to the Austrian publisher ditching the developer for the latest title in the RPG series.
Having accommodated all of their differences and disagreements, both companies will continue to work on their respective projects without excluding further co-operation on future titles.
JoWood is currently working with Spellbound Entertainment on Gothic 4 while Piranha Bytes are developing a new RPG under the project name of RPB. The announcement also ensures that past Gothic titles will remain available in stores across the globe.
"We are happy that we put aside our differences with the company Pluto 13. After a long and successful period of cooperation, it was of great concern to find the best possible solution for both parties! We are proud to continue with the marketing of products of the Gothic-series and will fulfil the high-quality expectations of its loyal fans", explains Dr. Albert Seidl, CEO JoWooD Productions.
"Our differences in the past are history. By putting them aside, Piranha Bytes as well as JoWooD get back to accomplish constructive-minded work full of vim and vigor. For the development studio Piranha Bytes that implies: the development of entertaining and high-class Role-Playing Games", as Mr. Michael Rüve, managing director Pluto 13, points out.

I played all 3 Gothic games including the night of the Raven expansion for gothic II wich is the best rpg game ever made, I now love online game Guild wars that has no monthly fee and have all 3 campaigns and the expansion Guild Wars Eye of the North. If Gothic went as an online game in the genre of gothic II night of the raven it would clean house and become the best online rpg ever, and I would be the first person to purchase it. I would recommend Gothic II Night of the Raven to anybody thats a fan of rpg's.

They should put in G4 something I saw in NWN2, the part where you have your own castle and land with farmers, soldiers, shops, whole new world in existing one. That would be great, but it is just mine opinion...

Try at gothic 4 to make a better storyline like gothic 1 and 2 because the storyline of gothic 3 has a different form that is out from the mistical world(gothic 1 and 2).
