The latest XBLA Goldeneye screenshots reveal a distinctly un-Sean Bean looking Trevelyan...
The latest screenshots of the shelved Goldeneye XBLA game show the end of the Facility level, where Bond and Alec Trevelyan are blowing up the chemical weapons plant. Interestingly, however, the visually enhanced Trevelyan looks considerably less like Sean Bean than in the original N64 game.
This supports last month's rumours that the original actor's likenesses aren't in the game due to contractual issues. The rumour also suggested that the game has been cancelled because of contractual issues between Microsoft and Nintendo. Apparently, the point of contention was royalty payments and whether Nintendo would receive a one-time fee, or a continued cut of the XBLA profits.
Microsoft has dismissed Xbox World 360's ongoing reveal of the game as rumour and speculation. However, the magazine insists on its blog that there is "No rumour. No speculation," and that it has comment on the game from Microsoft.
The plot thickens.

it may have been a nintendo game first, but it was developed by RARE who are now owned by Microsoft. Therefor microsoft should have no problem releasing it. I still dig my old N64 out sometimes and give goldeneye another run through

Duuude! I totally loved Goldeneye for the N64! They should work out their issues and put it on XBLA! I would freak out if I could play Goldeneye again! I miss it and my N64. They got deported to some country in Europe. And it's all my mom's fault...
