SEGA announces their final title on the first day of E3, a next-gen version of an old classic...

SEGA Europe and SEGA of America have today confirmed development of Golden Axe for Xbox 360 and PlayStation3 with an expected release during 2007. The game, an action-RPG based on the 16-bit classic title, is the first to be produced by Secret Level since their acquisition by SEGA earlier in the year.
"Golden Axe is one of our most treasured brands and is a complete re-imagining of the story that will take gamers on an unforgettable journey," said Scott A. Steinberg, Vice President of Marketing, SEGA of America, Inc. "The vision we have for the remake of Golden Axe is nothing short of remarkable and it can only be realized on the PLAYSTATION 3 system and Xbox 360."
