David Jaffe speaks out about God of War III having been given a sneak peak of the game at Sony Santa Monica...

The former God of War series' Creative Director, David Jaffe, has commented on his blog about what he's seen of God of War III, noting that the graphics are "amazing" and that the game "looks like a painting come to life".

Although his language is a little too colourful to be quoted in full here on TVG, he explained that the next God of War instalment looks better than Gears of War 2, a game that he thinks is the most visually impressive title of 2008.

"Wait till you see the amazing graphics", he said before adding, "It looks like a painting come to life - it's that good looking."

Although Jaffe left God of War's Sony Santa Monica studio to form his own studio (Eat Sleep Play) last year, he has remained in good contact with Sony, signing a multi-year deal with the first party publisher to develop games exclusively for Sony platforms.

lol night vision goggles i got em for £30 also you can now get mw2 nvg pack for £85, ps anyone played the crap gt5 demo yet lol how can you justify a game like gt by giving people a demo thats just over 200mb and thats gt5 not gt5p if sony are realy serious about the ps3 they should have given a demo a lot more thought than what they have for gt5.

that's so amazing that they've redone 1 & 2 in HD!  ps3 really has some wicked stuff in 2010, i'm happy i finally decided to goto the darkside instead of sticking to gates broken money-spinner.  8-)

So, do we know when this thing is coming out? I tend to avoid playing my PS3 for games (I just prefer my 360, simple as that), but no way am I missing this thing!

There is no faulting the God of War series - even the PSP's Chains of Olympus is awesome. The latest God of War 3 trailer looks stunning - here's hoping the story and gameplay are still spot-on ;-)
