Loose lips let slip about a new God of War game from Sony as its Santa Monica studio confirms unannounced titles...

As Sony prepares for its E3 press conference in LA today, reports are indicating that a new God of War game is amongst its big announcements for the convention.

First off, a Forbes report that's playing fast and loose with the term 'embargo' makes reference to a "a new God of War 3D adventure" amongst a raft of titles that Sony is confirmed to be demoing in LA.

In addition to that, Tim Moss, the Director of Technology at Sony's Santa Monica studio (the same studio that developed all three God of War games for Sony home consoles) has Tweeted that four unannounced games will be unveiled at the Sony E3 presser later today (5pm in LA, which is 1am tomorrow here in the UK).

"#SMStudio has 8 games from our talented external teams at E3 this year. A shit load of devs worked really hard the last few weeks," Tweeted Moss initially before answering a reader question about which games he was referring to with this response:

"Twisted Metal, Starhawk, Sound Shapes, Journey + 4 others that are not yet announced."

This one looks like a dead cert. We've got a guy on the ground in LA covering the Sony conference, so keep your eyes peeled for more on the next God of War here on TVG. In the meantime, we welcome your best guesses at the other three unannounced Sony Santa Mionica projects in the comments section below...

Update: Rather than a new God of War title, Sony announced a God of War Origins collection at its E3 press conference in the end. The collection will bring the series' two previously released PSP titles, Ghost of Sparta and Chains of Olympus, to the PS3 with an HD revamp and 3D support.
