A sequel to Bizarre Creations' XBLA masterpiece, Geometry Wars: Retro Evolved, could be unveiled during Microsoft's press conference at E3 later today. What's more, it could even be made available on LIVE later this week.

That's according to a Joystiq report, which cites a reliable source on the matter. It seems that Geometry Wars 2 has even passed certification for distribution over LIVE (according to the source), meaning that it could even be released this week - in theory.

Although a release this week would be slightly out of the blue, a list of achievements for the sequel was supposedly leaked a couple of weeks ago, so it seems like Geometry Wars 2 is very much primed and ready to go.
